Joe was born in Meadville, the son of the late Vito and Jennie (Grippi) Lapuma.
For many years, Joe owned the former Lapuma’s restaurant located at 1158 S. Main St., Meadville. Following his retirement from the restaurant business in 1990, Joe was involved with real estate. A U.S. Navy veteran, Joe served his country honorable during World War II.
Joe is survived by a brother, Frank Lapuma; a sister, Nancy Barco both of Meadville; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by six siblings: Frances L. Miceli, Josephine Albano, Samuel Lapuma, Mary J. Headlund, Lena Albano and Jane Cross.
